We like the clean design of this side by side counter depth model from GE. The external filtered water and ice dispenser will be a big plus for many families. This does add the worry of buying filters, but it’s a fair trade for most. The storage spec is very attractive at 23.3 cu. ft. The price is a bit high, but for a counter depth model that is the norm. It can be found for around $2,400 from some online authorized retailers.
Strengths
- Clean design
- Black is nice for kitchens already equipped with other black appliances
- Heavy, nice doors and good interior design
- Water despenser is very fast at 100 ounces per minute
- The ice maker is pretty quiet
- No complications from water/ice dispenser
Weaknesses
- A lot of cold air is lost every time one side of the refrigerator is opened
