Top 10 Hand Mixers 2025
To select our top 10 hand mixers, we considered several factors, including:
1. Wattage of motor
2. Number of speeds
3. Cleanliness when mixing
4. Weight and handle grip
5. Durability and strength of beaters
6. Ease of cleaning
7. Available accessories like whisks, dough hooks, and milkshake mixers
8. Value and price
While expensive models with multiple speeds are attractive for the versatility they provide, they should also start with at least one slow setting to avoid sending food flying out of the bowl. At the same time, the motor needs to be powerful enough to handle thick food like dough, hardened butter, and mashed potatoes without the beaters clogging.

Hand Mixers Buying Guide
Hand Mixer Power Features: Automatic Feedback vs. Power Burst
Most hand mixers have at least a couple different speeds to mix food batches of varying thinness or thickness. When a mixture is especially heavy, however, even the highest speeds need a little extra power to keep from getting bogged down. Some hand mixers operate with automatic feedback and others feature a button that supplies a burst of power to any speed. The question becomes: Is one method more effective at increasing the power of a hand mixer?
Automatic feedback
With automatic feedback, an electronic feedback mechanism in the hand mixer senses when its beaters are meeting resistance and automatically ramps up the power. This feature ensures that the hand mixer doesn’t get clogged or slowed down by dense mixtures like cookie dough.
Burst of power button
Several brands of hand mixers feature a button that boosts the power, no matter what speed you’re in. If you feel that the beaters are struggling to mix a thick substance, you can simply press the button to add some kick to the motor’s output.
Is one feature better than the other? That depends on your perspective. If you like feeling in control of your appliances, you may prefer the manual button that increases the power. If, on the other hand, you like your machines to adjust themselves automatically with no trouble on your part, then automatic feedback is clearly a step above.
