Sunbeam FPSBSM2104 Review
A well-designed stand mixer in red, black, white, or silver, this Sunbeam model boasts 350 watts of power and an effective triple-mixing action. While the two beaters rotate in opposite directions, the bowl simultaneously spins around its base, resulting in better scraping along the sides of the bowl. It’s also easy to add more ingredients as the mixer runs because the bowl is positioned slightly off-center. The one downside to the spinning bowl feature is that it lacks a handle, but with the head of the mixer tilted back, it’s easy to lift the bowl up. Easy to program and an efficient little worker, this Sunbeam mixer is a more than competent appliance at a very affordable price of $117.46.
Strengths
Starts with a slow, gentle speed and works up to more powerful mixes Sturdy die-cast metal body and non-slip feet prevent sliding motion during use Easy to add ingredients in off-center bowl while mixer is running Beaters rotate in opposing directions while bowl simultaneously spins Easy to adjust the speeds with a large, clearly labeled dial Includes 2 chrome beaters and 2 dough hooks Weaknesses Bowl lacks handle because it spins Motor sounds like it’s straining with heavy dough loads |
