JVC GZ-HM30US
By Brian Jones
The low-end of JVC’s camcorder lineup still has a lot to offer anyone looking for their first camcorder. This model only uses flash memory, so you’ll need a SDXC card to start recording video. This is a good thing since you will be the one deciding how much memory will be needed. JVC’s intelligent auto with many different shooting options is also included on this camera. This is a great feature for beginners, since it will produce the best image for the situation on its own. Advanced image stabilizer is also a very useful addition. This camcorder has the same f1.8 Konica Minolta HD lens and CMOS sensor as the higher tier models, so you know you are getting a quality image. The GZ-HM30 is available for an affordable $179.99.
