Wall Ovens vs. Range Units
By Bob Wiley
Traditional kitchens always had a range unit with a stove on top and oven on the bottom, but today, households are increasingly looking into wall ovens paired with stovetops. Wall ovens offer several advantages over the traditional range units, which you should consider if you are buying a new home or upgrading your kitchen appliances.
- Wall ovens can fit in smaller areas and maximize limited kitchen space. Standard sizes include 24”, 27”, and 30”.
- You have greater flexibility in where you place the wall oven.
- Wall ovens don’t require you to bend over to load and unload food. You can also view the food baking more easily because the window is more at eye level.
- Wall ovens offer a stylish, contemporary look.
- Double wall ovens are ideal for large families or people who like to entertain. They allow you to cook multiple dishes at the same time.
