This is a step up from the 6 cubif foot Hotpoint model on the list. For a little bit of extra cash you get a nice selection of extra features in addition to the bigger drum capacity. This model has an Auto Dry feature that monitors the air temperature inside the drum and sets the dry time accordingly. The drum is made out of painted steel so you know it is going to be durable. It is going to be a pretty quiet dryer too. You can pick up this electric dryer from Hotpoint for $429.00.

Strengths
The Optimumdry cycle gets clothes dry with no wasted energy Low price for large capacity with a decent selection of drying cycles and features This dryer is not as quiet as some of the more expensive insulated one, but it’s not the loudest on the list Weaknesses Most cycles take up to an hour to dry, which is somewhat longer than other dryers The bulk cycle does not dry very well and would probably need to be run more than once |
