Nike VR Pro Driver Review
By S. Dee Davis
First of all what is with the $419 price tag on this driver? OK, now that we are past that stirring fact, this driver has 32 possible head positions – that’s right 32. Driving range here comes my money! That’s actually a multiplied number when you take into account the face angle position adjustments and the lie and loft adjustments. The club offers adjustments of just .25 degrees which is the smallest most subtle adjustments someone could want. This is aimed obviously at the very low handicap golfer. The system is called the STR8-Fit Tour system. Several pros are playing this driver including Carl Pettersson and Francesco Molinari.
Strengths
Lots of options for Head positions 2 loft adjustable positions Head position at set up Nice low head weighting for immediate lift Weaknesses Expensive Could be overly complicated for some (can you imagine trying out 32 head positions) Prefer a better known shaft |
