Canon Rebel XS Review
By Brian Jones
A high-quality digital SLR from Canon, this model has enough features to satisfy entry-level users and it’s available at a low price of $479. With the 10.1 MP CMOS sensor, you can fully capture the tone and clarity of scenes in bright or dim light and blow up the images to sharp poster-size prints. The automatic ISO conveniently adjusts the shutter speed for you, with minimal noise. A useful aspect is the self-cleaning sensor unit that vibrates to remove dust on the lens. The Canon Rebel XS may not have as many special features as more expensive models, but it’s more than adequate for an entry-level SLR.
