Mizuno MP-59
By S. Dee Davis
The Mizuno MP-50 TI Muscle is Mizuno’s cloaked version of a blade with a lot of comfort technology built in. It looks like it may have some cavity backed attributes but it is really a blade with and a half cavity – thus the comforting appearances and the reason I call it “cloaked.” The build quality is exceptional and it’s of course built more for purists that want that super solid feel of a blade with shot-making ability to fade or draw the ball. Through a redesign of the blade the MP-59 has a 5% larger sweet spot than the previous MP-58. What is really interesting is that it has titanium built into the muscle portion of the head to help with weighting balance. Priced at $1000 to $1200.
