Protein comes in many different names, blends, and types. How do you know which one is the right one for you?<\/p>\n

Whey Protein<\/h2>\n

This is the most common protein. Whey is made from whole milk and is one of the most efficient well rounded proteins. It tastes good, blends well, contains quality ingredients, and it has many other benefits.<\/p>\n

Whey is the standard build muscle go to protein if you want to keep it basic.<\/p>\n

Whey Isolate<\/h2>\n

Whey Isolate is a kind of sub protein of Whey – except it’s mostly lactose free and fat free – for those trying to lose weight but get that protein. It is thinner then normal Whey and usually comes in a blend. Great for protein for losing weight.<\/p>\n

Hydrolized Whey<\/h2>\n

This protein (also called Hydro) gets broken down and absorbed by the body much faster then normal whey. This makes it best used post-workout as you can get protein into your body and absorbed fast for your needy muscles.<\/p>\n

Hydro whey is normally found as a blend in protein powders. Though you can get it on its own. <\/p>\n

Micellar Casein<\/h2>\n

Also known as Casein – this is a slow digesting protein – which means it feeds your muscles over a period of time slowly. This is a great protein to take before bed so it can do it’s magic over night. Usually also found in protein blends.<\/p>\n

Meal Replacements<\/h2>\n

These are exactly what it sounds like – a replacement for meals. High in carbs and other nutrients some proteins don’t have. For the hardcore.<\/p>\n

Weight Gainer<\/h2>\n

Weight gainer powders are basically are a mix of a whole bunch of stuff – protein obviously – but also featuring a TON of calories for those who need a lot. <\/p>\n
