"Stork

This sleigh style convertible crib has a large drawer at the bottom for easy storage of diapers, baby wipes, clothes, toys and anything else a new mom would need to keep off the floor. Buying a Stork Craft will save having to buy a child bed later on, as it converts from a standard crib to a day bed, then eventually into a regular twin sized bed. To convert it into a full sized bed with a headboard and footboard, metal bed rails will need to be purchased separately.

It can be used from newborn through age 2. The crib and all its part are made of wood, and the side is fixed for additional stability. The price ranges from $259 to $382, but if any problems occur it has a one-year warranty.

Strengths

Nobody likes scratching their heads in bewilderment trying to assemble something, but the instructions are permanently attached and this crib is designed to be easy to assemble.

The fact that it converts from a crib to a child’s bed is a major money saver for parents on a budget who don’t want to have to shell out several hundred more bucks for another bed.

This crib is JPMA certified, and it meets or exceeds all U.S. and Canadian standards.

The Stork Craft Aspen Stages crib comes in a variety of finishes.

    Weaknesses

The metal rails to convert the crib to a child’s bed must be purchased separately, so that’s extra money spent when the baby outgrows the crib.

The mattress is sold separately, and some parents reported difficulty in finding the right size mattress.

Once converted from a crib to a child’s bed, some consumers complain that the guard rail is nonfunctional and does not prevent the child from rolling out of the bed at night.

The one-year warranty offered is not as good as those on some other cribs.
