\nThe F80BN from Samsung is a great place to get started if you are entering the world of camcorders. The very affordable price point will probably be the first thing to attract many eyes and some of the features will keep them. The camcorder does not shoot in Full 1080p HD, but the sensor that captures 720p does an amazing job at what it was designed for: making a great looking picture. Playback can be upscale to 1080i when viewed through the HDMI port to and HDTV. The zoom features on this camera are outstanding for the price point as well. 52x optical zoom with an impressive 130x digital zoom will get you as close as you want to any action you can find. The F80BN is available for $179.99.
