\"ShunShun is a Japanese company known for its high-quality knives forged of extra-strong stainless steel for a hard but not brittle feel. The blades retain their edges incredibly well, requiring just regular honing. What we love about these knives is how you can see the layers of stainless steel in the blade, an intricate pattern that indicates the strength behind these knives. The same forging process was used in making samurai swords from long ago. The bolsters provide great control and cutting power, and the handles are well suited to smaller hands. At $399.95, this set is quite an investment, but it’s high-quality, elegant, and built to last a lifetime. <\/p>\n
