\nThe K30 from Pentax is another solid choice for someone who doesn’t want a camera from the major players in the industry. This is a mid level camera that should take care of most photographic needs an amateur can think up. What this one lacks in brand name recognition and features, it makes up for in quality construction. First is the weather sealing. This is a huge value for a camera in this price range. Thanks to this feature, water, rain, heat, and cold aren’t going to damage the camera. It’s also got a steel chassis for even further protection of the internal components. Image quality on the K30 is good, but not up to par with some of the competition. Shooting image in RAW helps a lot, but it takes a little more work to edit those image. Plus, the space burden is much greater with RAW images. The biggest value for this camera is the price. You get a great mid level DSLR that will withstand some roughness for $610 and up.
