\nIf you have a small yard or if you need a lawn trimmer only for occasional light work, then the Black & Decker ST1000 is an affordable option at just $19.97. As its blade cuts grass in 9-inch swaths, it allows you greater control and maneuverability. One convenient feature we liked was the bump feed spool, which feeds you only as much line as you need. For a lightweight lawn edger, this Black & Decker model can cut through thick, tall grass fairly easily. One downside is the lack of a guard, so be prepared for grass clippings to come spraying your way.
