One of the things I like about this bag aside from the waterproof aspect is the 7 way easy access compartmentalized dividers for clubs. This divider system helps separate and organize clubs and prevents undue collision between clubs (thus preventing dings and scratches on your clubs better). It has a nice carry strap which is a lightweight, pre-curved dual shoulder harness with triple padding for enhanced carry comfort.

This bag as promised has 14 top divider sections to prevent excessive banging and nicking of the clubs and allow for more detailed separations capabilities. The foam padded straps are especially comfortable though this is not your lightest walking style bag at 6.2 pds. It has about everything you could want.

Purchasing Considerations for your Next Golf Bag

The top idea when choosing a golf bag should be the weight if you are planning on carrying your bag at all. Extra pounds add up through 18 holes of walking. If you’re going to use a pull cart this obviously is not as important. But if it’s going on your shoulders, try to pick up a bag that has 1) light weight 2 to 3 lbs. 2) A comfortable Harness strap and 3) Durability as you will constantly be throwing it around.

Next, if you’re not concerned with carrying your bag and will be mostly carting it and sometimes pulling it get one with more storage capacity/pockets. Convenience without adding bulk is what you’re looking for. Convenient pockets for scorecards, pencils, a cooler pocket, an umbrella slot, things like that. Even a dedicated pocket for your range finder is useful.

Thirdly, if you’re the type that likes to have the kitchen and stereo system on the course with you then sturdy storage and tons of pockets is what you want, regardless of weight. You still want the lightest construction you can get away with but that’s a secondary consideration next to storage capacity.

That’s essentially the 3 types of bags. Most bags also have an automatic sit-down pop out stand these days which is good for the driving range and if you are carrying your bag – even though it does add a bit of weight you dont have to bend down as far to pick up your bag after every shot. My favorite choice is the stand bag with plenty of storage and the lightest weight. The best of all worlds. That’s predominantly what makes up my top 10 list above.
