An attractive propane gas grill with a titanium painted cast aluminum lid, the Weber Q 1200 out of the Q series is made to be easily portable. One of the biggest pros it has going for it is heating up surprisingly fast. Its 189 square inches of cooking area plenty for enough burgers or steaks for an average sized family or a day at the park. This one isn’t for cooking multiple dishes or preparing a feast. The rugged cast iron grates hold up well with extended use and are easy to clean. We were impressed with how simple it was to hook the grill up to the propane tank and ignite it with the press of a button. Grilling away from backyard is a great way to get outdoor and enjoy the summetime with friends and family. A normal grill wouldn’t even be a candidate for picnic grilling. This Cuisinart portable grill is just what you’ll need for that. It’s even great for apartment dwellers and perfect for camping. The CGG-180T is a very small grill that has a fraction of the grilling space and heating power of some of the other entries on the list, but it has a different purpose altogether. It’s made to grill wherever you are. It only weight 13 pounds and is carried briefcase style. That makes it super easy to move. The built quality is excellent and the grilling performance is great. It can be found for around $100, so it’s not overly expensive if you want to have a second grill for traveling.

This Webber is a mid sized gas grill aimed at saving space, but still delivering the quality that comes with the name. The fold down side tables and rolling casters are great features for someone with a small patio or back deck. The grilling space is not a spacious as some of the other grills we have reviewed, but it should be more than enough for a small family or a gathering. The cast iron grates are great for heat retention and searing meats, fish, and vegetables. The ignition system is upgraded to work better than the standard push button ignitions that usually fail or don’t work at all. It’s also a little lacking on the BTU rating, but that doesn’t mean this grill won’t get hot. It surely does. It might save on you on the gas usage too! It is a little more expensive at $399.99, but you know you are getting the top tier quality of a Weber with this one.

This is one impressive propane grill. The 635 square inches of cooking space and 40,000 BTUs of heat can get any grilling job done without breaking a sweat. The aluminum oven is thick cast for keeping all the heat in and the cast iron grates do an excellent job of searing whatever is placed on them. This grill has a lot of style too, with its sleek stainless steel and black design. The 2-door cabinet has enough room for a propane tank and any other grill accessories you need to have on hand. This is a great grill for backyard barbecues or cooking up a few burgers. It’s not terribly expensive and can be found anywhere from $399 to $673.

For a reasonable price, the Master Forge GD4215S offers great grilling performance and a durable, sturdy design. You’ll appreciate the three burners which can cook different foods—steaks, burgers, veggies, etc.—at the same time on the 427.5 square inches of cooking space. We were satisfied with how easily the grill starts up and with how the grease tray slides out easily for cleaning. The bottom of the grill tapers down so that grease drips down into the tray, too. If you’re looking for a no-fuss grill with even heating for an affordable price (just $159), you’ll be happy with the Master Forge GD4215S.

A compact, portable propane grill from Cuisinart, this model rests neatly on a tabletop and holds adequate amounts of food for the average family. With a system of interchangeable trays, you can grill a variety of foods, from vegetables to pizzas to fish. We were impressed that a portable grill like this could reach 500 degrees F. Starting it up takes a simple twist of one hand, and the integrated temperature gauge gives you precise cooking control. Cleaning isn’t too hard, either; you’ll just have to empty the grease cup after each use as it’s not very large. This more than satisfactory propane grill runs for only $149.

A sturdy natural gas grill built like a tank, the Weber Genesis E-310 heats up to 700 degrees F in under 10 minutes. The porcelain-enameled cast iron grates are excellent at searing meats, fish, and vegetables. A nice bonus feature that allows you to multitask is the mounted side burner that has 12,000 BTUs. There’s more than enough space in this cavernous grill to hold large quantities of food. With the electronic ignition and the front-mounted control knobs, it’s never been easier to maintain the proper temperature while grilling. At $739, this grill is expensive, but it makes up for its steep price with a lot of valuable features.
